Christmas is a comin’ and sister wants a Hula Hoop!
While you’re out, checking off your list, when you can drop a donation for the Franklin Toy Project, and an unwrapped toy will do. There’s boxes all over town. Thank you.
Members and board met Monday night Dec. 4 for the monthly meeting of the Lanark Village Association.
Then on Wednesday Dec. 6, at Chillas Hall, was the place for bingo. Door was opened at 6 p.m. and 6:30 was bingo.
Didn’t get a menu for the month but I’m sure we will have a good hot meal this afternoon. We line up Indian style at noon. Hope you can join us. Your donation of $6 will be collected at the desk at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center in Carrabelle.
Come on over to Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82 on Friday nights. A huge hamburger with chips will be prepared for you. Orders are taken from 5 to 7 p.m. Your donation of $6 will be collected at the bar and don’t forget about the pastry raffle.
There is also a Holiday Flip-Flop Formal Dinner Dance at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center on Friday, Dec. 8. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m. You can enjoy music by Greg K and Krew, pork loin, sides, dessert and coffee or tea will be on the menu. Tickets are $10 per person at the door.
This Saturday, Dec. 9 from noon to 9 p.m. will be our annual Holiday on the Harbor down Marine Street right here in Carrabelle. Boat Parade at dark-thirty.
Come Sunday evening, it’s back to Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82 for pizza. A donation of $1 will get you one slice; an $8 donation you can have a whole pizza to eat at the bar or for a pizza to take out for a donation of $10. We don’t have a cake raffle on Sundays. Serving is from 5 to 7 p.m.
Smoke rings are blown on the screened-in porch on Friday and Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Thank you!
Have your morning coffee at Chillas Hall, Monday through Friday 9 to 11 a.m. You never know who will show up. There’s usually something on the counter to go with your 50 cent mug of coffee.
Be kind to one another, check in on the sick and housebound and have a great holiday season..
