Lunch this afternoon at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center will be prepared by three guest chefs, Leon and Frances Wiesener, and Lee Swan. We will be served seafood gumbo, rice; garlic bread and to top it off we will have bread pudding. The chow line will form at noon. Be watchin’ for ya! The senior center will be closed Thanksgiving Day.

Every Friday night, you can get a huge hamburger with chips at Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82. Orders taken at 5 p.m. and cut off at 7 p.m. Your donation of $6 will be collected at the bar. While you’re there, may as well take a chance or two on the pastry raffle.

The place to be seen on Saturday, Nov.18 is the Lanark Village Boat Club from 9 to 11 a.m. The door will open from 9 to 11 a.m. and your donation of just $5 will be collected just inside the door. Hope you can make it!

When you get home from church on Sunday, Nov. 19, grab your favorite dish to share and take a hop, skip and a jump over to Chillas Hall. The door will open at 12:30 p.m. If you are unable to bring a covered dish, there is a donation shell on the tables. All hungry Howies will line up at 1 p.m. Before you leave, there is a sign-up sheet for Thanksgiving Day. Sign your name, the number in your party and what dish you will bring.

The Thanksgiving Day covered dish will be served at 1 p.m. Door opens at 12:30 p.m. Come and spend a great afternoon with us.
