This is the final week for students, ages 8-18 to register for the Music as a Second Language 2018 session. Registration, which is required and is available at both locations. ends Nov. 20. There is no charge to the student. Contact the library for more information.

The Basics of Better Living, Gifts in a Jar event will be held at the Eastpoint Branch on Friday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m. These monthly classes are facilitated by Samantha Kennedy of the UF/IFAS Extension Office. We had a great session at the Carrabelle branch earlier this month and came away with some great ideas to use during this holiday season. Free Friday Night Movie at the Carrabelle Branch, on Friday, Nov. 17, doors open at 6:15 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

It is the time of year to prepare for container gardening. Don’t miss the gardening program on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 1:30 pm. at the Carrabelle branch, when the topic will be Container Gardening: Growing inside while it’s cold outside. These are the final gardening programs for 2017. All gardening programs are facilitated by Les Harrison with the Wakulla Extension Office. All programs are free and no registration is required.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is a timeless story with a universal message about the true spirit of the holiday season and the importance of friends and family. A production by Hampstead Stage will be performed for the library at the Rio Carrabelle on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.

Both library locations will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23 and 24 to observe Thanksgiving. The Carrabelle branch will be closed Saturday, Nov. 25. No children’s programs the week of Thanksgiving.
