Tuscaloosa County 79,

Northridge 21

Tuscaloosa County girl’s basketball team came into Northridge’s gym and swarmed the Jaguars, 79-21 Monday night.

The Wildcats had five players that scored the double figures. Kaylyn Colvin and Tamia Knight led the way for Tuscaloosa County, while Alexz Yarbrough netted 11 points. Resha Knight and Kahmyah Patrick picked up 10 points.

Morgan Houston finished with 10 points for Northridge.

The Wildcats improve to 3-2 and the Jaguars fall to 0-1.

Tuscaloosa County will play at Hillcrest on Thursday, while Northridge plays host to Central on Friday.

 

Boys

Tuscaloosa Christian 54

Cahaba Christian 30

Tuscaloosa Christian took care of Cahawba Christian on its home floor Monday night, 54-30.

Tanner Burrows led the way for Tuscaloosa Christian with 15 points.

Landon Pate picked up 10 points, and Evan Donahue contributed eight points and eight rebounds.

The Warriors get their first win of season and improve to 1-1, and will play at Tabernacle Christian on Tuesday.

 

Sipsey Valley 36

Brookwood 28

BROOKWOOD — Sipsey Valley got its season off on the right foot Monday night against Brookwood, as they Bears won 36-28.

Dakar Smith was the leading scorer for Sipsey Valley with 12, followed by Tyrin Lanier who netted 10.

John Martin Wagner picked up 10 points for Brookwood.

Sipsey Valley will play at American Christian Academy on Thursday. Brookwood falls to 0-2, and will play at Holt on Tuesday.
