Port St. Joe author Diane Farnsley will sign copies of her newly published poetic devotional work " Be Still the Dawn" this Saturday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Grady Market, 76 Water Street, Apalachicola.
Farnsley's 270-page poetic memoir, published by WestBow Press, interlaces poems, prose and Scripture to encourage readers to embrace stillness in their lives, to experience life through eyes of grace and humbleness.
"Be Still the Dawn" takes the reader on a journey to fully experience God's presence, inviting them to know themselves and others more deeply.
After growing up in a small Pennsylvania town, Farnsley studied accounting and went on to work for IBM for several years. After her retirement, she took advantage of a benefit offered her company, and recently completed a year-long fellowship working on behalf of the non-profit Franklin's Promise Coalition.
