Oshsner Home Health of Raceland wins award

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Five-Star Quality Rating System has recognized Ochsner Home Health of Raceland with a five-star rating in quality and patient satisfaction.

According to the data, the Raceland home health provider achieved the highest rating possible in both categories. The Five-Star Quality Rating System was instituted to provide a tool for consumers to use when choosing a home health care provider.

Ochsner Home Health of Raceland is part of LHC Group, a national provider of post-acute care services with more than 400 locations in 28 states.

 

Award nomination deadline is Aug. 21

The deadline to nominate a local leader for the Women’s Business Alliance of Houma’s annual Athena Award is Aug. 21.

The award honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, excels in his or her chosen field, provides a valuable service to improve quality of life in the community and forges path of leadership for women to follow, the alliance said in a news release.

School official to address Terrebonne chamber

Bubba Orgeron, Terrebonne Parish School District assistant superintendent, is the guest speaker for the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce General Membership Luncheon on Aug. 22 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 142 Library Drive, Houma.

Lunch and Learn is Aug. 29

The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce Lunch and Learn program for August, "Overcoming Overwhelm," will be held Aug. 29 at the chamber office, 6133 La. 311, Houma.

The speaker for the 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. luncheon is Blanca E. Robinson with Viva Consulting Group.

Admission is free to members and $10 for future members. There will be a light lunch provided for $7.

The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Business After Hours networking session from 5-7 p.m. Thursday Valley Supply Co. of Houma, 1000 Barataria Ave., Houma.
