County commissioners took time out Tuesday morning to offer a rousing salute to the members of the Franklin County AA All Stars, who won a state championship earlier this month in the state tourney in Sebring. The 7 and 8-year-olds brought home the first state title for the boys, winning nine out of 10 games in a four-day stretch of blistering heat at the Max Long Recreation Complex. Surrounded by his assistants, Lloyd Alford, Ronnie Joseph and Tyler Poloronis, coach Willie McNair III introduced each of the boys to a standing ovation from the crowd. The team, which features players from throughout the entire county, includes Nolan Alford, Karcen Poloronis, Chason Martina, Bennett McNair, Dre'Kylan North, Adyn Carter, Jordan Shiver, Kobe Joseph, Kayden Drake and Rylan Woods. The boys presented the commissioners with their trophy, along with a baseball and a card that each of them had signed.
