Grace Catherine Parfitt, of Eastpoint, received a bachelor of science degree from the college of therapeutic recreation and psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi’s spring commencement exercises May 12 on the Hattiesburg campus.

Southern Miss President Rodney D. Bennett conferred undergraduate, graduate and specialist degrees at the ceremony. Dr. Jim Franks, senior research scientist with USM’s Center for Fisheries Research and Development at its Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) in Ocean Springs, Mississippi gave the commencement address.
