An original musical “Crossing Jordan” put on by local students will be presented this weekend, Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at the Chapman Auditorium, 155 Avenue E. Admission is free.

Under the direction of Liz Sisung, "Crossing Jordan, The Musical" features the author of the award-winning young adult novel, Tallahassee resident Adrian Fogelin, in photo at right, appearing as the narrator of the story, supported by an upbeat musical score created by the author and her musical collaborators, Craig Reeder and Kary Kublin, The musical focuses on the inspiring story of the friendship of two girls, one white and one black, living in a world of racial prejudice.

Making their appearance will be Mr. Bodine (Randy Mims), Cass Bodine (Suezelle Scarabin), Mrs. Bodine (Carole Brazske), Narrator Cass (Stevie Hicks), Leona Lewis (Beyla Walker), Nana Grace (Alisa Hendels), Jemmie Lewis (Zariah Harvey), Lou Anne (Desiree Messer), Ben (River Sheridan), Miss Liz (Liz Sisung), and Mr. G (Arav Patel). Others in the chorus include Taylor Busby, Alonna Brown, Annabelle Howele, Maleah Croom, Mia Thomas, Craig Reeder, Joan Huckeba, and Rick Finneran.
