The Franklin County varsity softball team is atop the district.

On April 4, the team defeated Bozeman 3-1 and took over the top spot in the district. After trailing 1-0, the team put up 1 in the top of the fourth, and two more in the top of the sixth.

The team endured a loss at home 5-1 to Wakulla. The game was 1-1 going into the sixth and Wakulla hit a two-out, two-run double to blow it open. They added another one in the seventh.
