From the Eastpoint Volunteer Fire Department, late but not forgotten, a heartfelt Thank You to all that attended our annual Rib Cook-off,

To all who competed, you did good and congratulations to the winners.

The Liars Contest was great too, we do have some great liars in this town.

The silent auction had plenty to offer; to all that donated to the cause, thank you, thank you.

We had a great turnout, lots of good food, great music and great donations.

God provided us with super weather.

Only one problem, we sure could have used a few more helpers, not just for the Cook Off.

We are in need of willing and able-bodied ladies and /or gentlemen who would like to be firefighters. There is no pay, many times not even a Thank You, when they put out a fire. They need to be committed to help. We would even like some volunteers as board members. Some of us have been re elected for many years, no change in sight. We meet every fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Eastpoint Fire Station.

Hope to see some of you in the near future.

May God bless you, always.
