John Henry Tindell, 71, of Eastpoint passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his home.

Henry was born in Cottonwood, Alabama on July 17, 1945, to the late Albert and Bessie (Sellers) Tindell. He lived most of his life in Eastpoint and attended Eastpoint Church of God. He was a commercial fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Janice (Millender) Tindell, of Eastpoint; two daughters, Linda Phillips and her husband, Shane, of Eastpoint, and Donna Cox and her husband, Al, of Compass Lake; three grandchildren, Steven Summerhill, Jessica Weeks, and Levi Phillips; and three great-grandchildren, Kiana, Avery, and Leah Weeks.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 13 at Eastpoint Church of God. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church and interment will be in Eastpoint Cemetery.
