Nadine Mathis Jones, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2016 at her home in Eastpoint.

She was born on March 26, 1951 to George and Liza Mathis in Donalsonville, Georgia.

Nadine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She retired from being a CNA, and had spent her career devoted to helping people.

She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy, her loving husband James B. Jones; her brothers Vernon Mathis and wife, George Jr. Mathis and wife Cheryl, and Thomas Harlow and wife Clarissa; sisters Loraine Brown, Wylene Warren, and Elouise Brown; her daughter Kimberly Osburn and husband Terry; her sons Jackie Lee Hunter and wife Ronda, RL Hunter and wife Robin, Billy Jones, Chris Jones and wife Kathy, Ricky Jones and wife Elizabeth Jones; her grandchildren Kayla, Josh and Hannah Osburn, Westley and Kirstie Jones, Mallorie Jones, Nathan, Jonathan and Genesis Jones; her great-grandchildren Maddie Osburn and Kinsley Jones; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, George and Liza Mathis, husband Russ Hunter, brothers Grady, Baby Doll, Thurman (Buddy), Melton (Little Boy), Robert, James, Douglas, and Raymond Mathis; and sister Dorothy Ingram.

Services were held at Eastpoint Church of God in Eastpoint on Wednesday, Nov. 9, beginning at 2 p.m. with graveside following at Eastpoint Memorial Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Comforter Funeral Home.
