This week we spotlight David Cochrane, a fifth grader in Amy Turner's class, who used a simple wooden tool and black tempera paint to create an abstract representation of Hurricane Hermine. A watercolor wash, in blue, was brushed over the painting to show color value.

“I created this abstract representation of Hurricane Hermine blowing the fence and house down,” said Cochrane. “I like art because I get to use my imagination.”
