Enjoyed my breakfast at the Lanark Village Boat Club last Saturday. Thanks to Nick Dadonna and Dot Bless who took me and brought me back home, and Herbert and Kathleen Mock who treated me to breakfast. Thank you folks! Made my day. At first it didn’t look like we were going to have many people. But around 10 a.m. the door opened and in came the crew from International Coastal Clean-up.
Had a nice surprise last Thursday at lunch. The honorable Pinki Jackel and her staff served the food. Pinki is running for supervisor of elections. Pinki will also have a breakfast at Chillas Hall in October.
The sidewalk between rows 17 and 18 is not a dump. Your refrigerator needs to be moved ASAP. We use this walk a lot and we don’t need obstructions.
Coming attractions: Saturday, Oct. 1 breakfast at Chillas Hall from 9 to 11 a.m. Heather Riley, a candidate for supervisor of elections, will drop by and enjoy breakfast with us October 8.
Go to the Fall Festival at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center, which features a large yard sale, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5 and 6 on our golf course in the Village. To donate items, please call Pat at 697-2798. Members of the Lanark Village Golf Club will be around to help you with you with your selections. There’s bound to be something you simply can’t live with out. Sale starts at 8 a.m. Be watchin’ for ya!
Be kind to one another, check in on the sick and housebound, and remember, ASAP also stands for Always Say a Prayer.
Until next time, God bless America and our troops, the poor, homeless and hungry.
