Carrabelle drug bust yields cocaine, cash

On Wednesday, Aug. 25 at about 6:30 p.m., members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit and K-9 unit, together with officers of the Carrabelle Police Department, conducted a drug investigation in Carrabelle.

The investigation resulted in the arrests of Craig Tyrone Lowery, 27, of 115 Liberty Road, Crawfordville, and Paula Shawnta Lowery, 28, of 12th Street East, Carrabelle.

Deputies and officers seized 2.9 grams of crack cocaine, 3.6 grams of powdered cocaine, and $555 in U.S. currency.

Paula Lowery was charged with one count, of possession of cocaine and Craig Lowery was charged with one count of possession of cocaine and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 1000 feet of a church.

Additional charges are pending further investigation.
