The most brutal crime on earth was the day in 33 A.D.
a sinless Man named Jesus was crucified at
He was deserted by His friends, arrested on charges of
blaspheming by His enemies;
and sentenced in a
The hostile mob immediately scourged Him for the crime,
and nailed Him on the Cross between two thieves at
The hour was at hand to give His body and blood for a living sacrifice for the sins of man.
He silently suffered the brutal punishment of His accusers in public humiliation for everyone to see.
His bloodstained face was swollen and wet with tears of agony;
and His tortured body writhed with pain while His tormentors celebrated in taunting reverie.
His broken-hearted Mother wept and prayed for Her Son
dying on the Cross by sinners' merciless cruelty.
In the throes of death He whispered with His last breath,
“Into Thy hands, Father, I commit My spirit to Thee;”
and the redeeming blood flowed from His wounded side
as our Savior sacrificed His life to set us free.
Praise God, He’s alive! His Father raised Him the third day to
His throne in heaven to reign eternally.
