Richard Will Morris

Richard Will Morris, 66, beloved husband of Marian. passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29 as a result of a long history of coronary heart disease.

He was influential in the establishment of the Franklin County Library in the position of first library director. He was also a skilled electrician. His honesty, humor, beautiful voice, and amazing memory were a joy to many. He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Marian, his stepson, Michael Hamilton, Tampa; three brothers Robert Morris, of Tallahassee, and Alan and Gary Morris, of Minneapolis, Minn.; and two sisters, Nancy Pecoraro, of California, and Marilyn Stuart, of Arizona.

A memorial service is being planned for early January in Tallahassee. A celebration of his life will be held at the Carrabelle "old beach" on Friday, Dec. 28. His ashes will be dispersed near his much loved cabin in North Carolina.
