Bay Choral Society begins rehearsals Tuesday
The Bay Area Choral Society, under the direction of Merel Young, will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church. The chorus will begin preparing for the April 12-13 performance of parts II and III of Messiah by George F. Handel. All singers are welcome to join the group.
Health fair set for Wednesday
The Community Health Improvement Partners (CHIP) will host a community health fair on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the National Guard Armory from 3 to 6 p.m. There will also be health screenings available, including tests for blood pressure, glucose, weight, hemoglobin and cholesterol. Carrabelle Methodists plan ‘Market Days Ministry’
Carrabelle United Methodist Church will start its 2014 Market Days Ministry on Saturday, Jan. 25 and it will run on the last Saturday of each month through December. The monthly ministry, which will raise funds to serve those in need in the community, will include 12 events full of food, music, arts and crafts, baked goods, rummage sales, raffles and more at the Curley Messer Pavilion, on Tallahassee Street in Carrabelle next to the fire station.
