We can learn to stop littering

Maybe, just maybe, it is me! What I’m talking about is trash and littering. The type of items most commonly found on our highways, roads, and streets of Franklin County. No, this isn’t just a local problem, but it is our problem right here, right now!

Even the children have noticed this abuse and started raising money for a billboard advertising against plastic pollution. They are to be commended for their efforts. State, county and city officials have been informed of this problem. After all, we are represented by Riverkeepers, Historical Society, EPA and now our children.

I invite people of Franklin County to take pictures for a picture represents a thousand words. Get involved with local leaders and simply ask for “No Littering” signs and enforcement, After all , these groups are on our side. Then maybe, just maybe, we can learn to stop littering!
