Lanark News: Eat, drink and have fun at the Legion

The rain last Thursday really kept the lunch crowd down at the Franklin County Senior Center. The ones of us who showed up enjoyed the good meal and visiting. Hope to see you this afternoon! Serving begins at noon.

Had a nice crowd for breakfast Saturday, Jan. 5. The members of the Lanark Village Golf Club did a great job. No, I didn’t win the 50/50 drawing. The next breakfast will be Saturday, Feb. 2 at Chillas Hall, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. See ya there!

The next pancake breakfast will be Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Lanark Village Boat Club. Serving is from 9 to 11 a.m. Be watching for you.

Of course we will still have Hamburger Night every Friday night at Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82. Orders taken after 5 p.m. A $6 donation is required. Every Sunday night is Pizza Night at the Legion. Orders taken after 5 p.m. Pizza by the slice, $1 each; whole pizza eat-in $8, and take-out $10. Phone in your orders for hamburgers or pizza at 697-9998.

While you are waiting for your order at the Legion, you can enjoy a game of pool, or shuffleboard, play Bar Bingo, we have pull tabs, or just visit with your friends and neighbors. We always have a good time!

Be kind to one another, check in on the sick and housebound and remember: Contrary to public opinion, God’s last name is not Damn.
