Guiding Good Choices Free Parenting Workshop
Guiding Good Choices is a five week interactive workshop for parents. Participants will learn and practice skills for setting clear family guidelines, strengthening family bonds, helping children develop healthy behaviors, developing strategies to help children avoid drug use and other adolescent problem behaviors, and increasing your children's involvement in the family.
The next workshop is scheduled for Thursday July 10 and the following four Thursdays.
They will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Franklin Central Campus in Eastpoint.
Participants are asked to register before Monday July 7. Upon registration, participants will be provided important information about the workshop.
Certificates of completion will be provided to participants who complete all five sessions of the Guiding Good Choices workshop. Families will receive a Guiding Good Choices Family Guide.
Guiding Good Choices has been offered throughout the country and has been honored with several citations of excellence including "Model Program" from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
The Guiding Good Choices Parent Workshop is supported by the Florida Center for Prevention Research of Florida State University. This scheduled workshop will be provided at no cost to the participants through a grant initiative from the Governor's Drug Free Communities Program.
