• Project S.A.F.E. (Student and Family Events) will host Movies in the Park, a night of fun watching family movies on a 12-foot screen at Apalachicola's Battery Park, beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m. Movies are free, with free popcorn.

Friday, July 4
Independence Day

• The St. George Island 4th of July Parade will be from 11 a.m. to noon. The event, sponsored by the St. George Island Yacht Club, will begin at the center of the island.

• City of Carrabelle and American Legion Post 82 will provide Fireworks at dark. Fireworks will be shot from Timber Island near Pirates Landing and can be viewed from Marine Street. For information call 697-2727.
