Jimmie and Mary Rochelle mark golden anniversary

Jimmie and Mary Rochelle will celebrate their 50^th wedding anniversary on Thursday, July 29, 2010.

They were married July 29, 1960 in Apalachicola. The bridesmaid was Ms. Pearlie Bunyon Perry and the best man was Mr. Charlie Clark, now deceased.

Mr. and Mrs. Rochelle have two daughters, Ms. Sharon Rochelle, of Apalachicola, and Mrs. Monique Rochelle Resendez, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; one son, the late Jimmie Lee Rochelle, Jr.; three granddaughters, Aja Vanandel, of Jacksonville, Ali Vanandel, of Alaska, and Kristina Rochelle, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; three grandsons, Anthony, Alexzon and Jonathan Resendez, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Donate and Kyera, both of Jacksonville.

Established on this divine love, holy, pure and true,

Knowing down through the years

Whatever obstacles we faced in life,

Jesus will bring us through.

Our marriage hung on the hinges of love you see!

Because this was meant for Jimmie and me.

Sometimes he’d say “I ain’t going nowhere,”

Then I’d say “Me neither,”

So we settled our differences

And life got a little sweeter.

Down through the years sometimes we’d shed a tear

Because we lost our loved one we loved so dear.

It drew us closer together and life lovely

We knew this marriage was meant to be

For Jimmie and me.

We want the world to know

That we are so happy!

How God has spared us

To have this Golden Anniversary.
