Robertson retires from sheriff's office

Deputy Candi Robertson, who served as bailiff to several judges in recent years, is hanging up her badge to open up a worm farm at Lake Talquin.  On Aug, 19, her colleagues at the sheriff’s office and the courthouse treated Robertson to a potluck lunch, honoring her on her retirement from 14 years in law enforcement. For the past five years she’s been a friendly face at the courthouse, first as communications officer, then deputy and lastly as bailiff. Sheriff Skip Shiver, right, presented Robertson a plaque for service, from Nov. 18, 1996 to Aug. 31, 2010. Pictured from left are Robertson’s daughter, Julia Wilhoit, grandson D.J. Moss and Robertson.
