County Library Happenings
The Franklin County Public Library's Summer Reading Program will travel to Antarctica and Australia this week. Any summer reader is invited to attend the program from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, July 18 at the Eastpoint and Carrabelle Branch. Friday's program participants will learn how to make a boomerang, enjoy popular Australian tunes, and learn to walk like a penguin.
The final week of the Summer Reading Program will end on Friday, July 25. This year's culminating event will be an "Out of this World" Puppet Show at the Carrabelle Branch, starting at 10 am. Everyone is invited even if you did not participate in the Summer Reading Program.
The book stacks at the both branches of the library are rapidly filling with new teen and tween selections. Check out the Hannah Montana Series, or latest graphic novels with titles like Iron Man, the Hulk, and even Indiana Jones!
The Franklin County Public Library's Advisory Board will hold its July meeting at the Eastpoint Branch on Monday, July 21, starting at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
