Wasn’t that a wonderful article in last week’s Times? One great lady writing about the close friend who passed away. Mel Kelly did a really great job. We will certainly miss Carolyn.
Carolyn’s service at the Carrabelle United Methodist Church was packed out last Saturday. Keep her in your prayers and pray for strength for the family.
Tony called the other day to let me know about our third Saturday dance. That’s right, folks, everybody’s favorite band, “The Not Quite Ready,” will be at Chillas Hall this Saturday night for your listening and dancing pleasure. Come on over, even if you will only be tapping your toes and clapping your hands. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; fun begins when you walk in the hall. Bring your favorite snack, beverage, dancing shoes and your main squeeze – you’ll have a great time!
The members of the Women’s Christian Fellowship Circle will hold their annual “Soup to Go and Christmas Bazaar” at the Community Church Hall, Spring and Oak streets, Lanark Village. The bazaar begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28.
Guess I’ll run into you at our annual Thanksgiving dinner at Chillas Hall on Thursday. Nov. 26. Serving begins at 1 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet in the hall.
Be kind to one another, and check in on the sick and housebound, and remember what the old song says, “Get a grip, tie a knot, hang on to Jesus!”
