Homan, Henry wed on St. George Island beach

On Saturday, July 10 at 7 p.m., on St. George Island, Heather Homan and Derek Henry were married in a ceremony performed by Rhonda Skipper.

The couple exchanged vows and rings and each poured sand from the beach into one container to signify the joining of their lives. A reception was held at the Buccaneer Inn following the ceremony.

The maid of honor was Crystal Smith, of Tallahassee, sister to the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Nichols, of Crawfordville, and Brittney Newell, of Apalachicola.

The best man was Mark Henry, of Eastpoint, brother to the groom. Groomsmen were Bruce Taylor, of Eastpoint, and Cecil Babb, of Eastpoint.

Mrs. Henry is employed by the Franklin County Property Appraiser’s office as a field appraiser. Mr. Henry is employed as a field technician by the Eastpoint Water and Sewer District.
