Boo!
Some good biscuits and gravy we had last Saturday. Will had a lot of long-time friends and others come and enjoy the morning. Hope you didn't miss out. But if you couldn't join the Saturday breakfast, they're going to do it again on Thursday, Oct. 30, at Chillas Hall. Serving begins at 8:30 a.m.
Halloween morning will find most of us at Chillas Hall for pancakes. Doris Pendleton will be our hostess, so come on over, she will be glad to see you.
You are coming to the Over 50 Dances, aren't you? The Senior Center is the place to be Saturday, Nov. 1. Ron Vice will be on hand to spin the platters. Fun starts at 7 p.m. and if you and/or your main squeeze dress for the occasion, there will be a prize for the best costume.
And when you get home from the dance, or the dinner at the Legion, be sure to turn back your clocks one hour. That's right, we will get back that hour of sleep we gave up last March.
Monday, Nov. 3, Chillas Hall will once again be the scene of a full breakfast. Nina Marks will be our hostess. Stop on over, Nina, Chuck, and family will be on hand to greet you and visit. Serving will begin at 8:30 a.m. See ya there.
Tuesday, Nov. 4, back at Chillas Hall and other voting places in our county. GET OUT AND VOTE!
We will start having our Second Saturday Dances again at Chillas Hall, 7 to 9 p.m. or so. Grab your dancing shoes, your beverage, your main squeeze and enjoy listening and dancing to everyone's favorite band - The Not Quite Ready. There is another accordion player and a new drummer. See you there! Be sure to welcome Bob Franklin back.
Attention Bingo Fans! Wednesday, Nov. 5, is the opening of Bingo for the Bus. Every Wednesday night at Chillas Hall, doors open at 5 p.m., regular bingo at 6 p.m. For the first few months, it will be run as in the past. We will have coffee and soft drinks, homemade cookies, 50/50, raffle, and door prizes. As the crowd increases, we will pay out more, and if things go well, we could have a $250 jackpot! Hope you will come out and support our bus. See ya next Wednesday!
You really want to be at the Fall Sale, Arts, Crafts and Food Festival, on Saturday, Nov. 15. There will be doughnuts and coffee in the morning at 8 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. Well, at Chillas Hall, of course.
Tables are available for your crafts or sale items. Outside tables are $15 and inside tables $20. Fun will begin at 8 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. Come on out and enjoy the day with us.
Be kind to one another, check in on the sick and housebound, always count your blessings, you may have more than you thought.
