Appraiser error saved taxpayers' money
Your lead article in the Aug. 5 edition of the Times reminds me of the riddle of a glass half filled with water. Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
Your article states that an error cost the school district $680,000 when it could very well have stated that the error saved the taxpayers $680,000. What’s so amazing about the situation is that someone outside the school district had to tell the school board in its 10th month of budget year that it’s coming up $680,000 short. It makes you wonder if the board needed the money.
