Happy Father's Day, all you dads! Put on your crown, stretch out in your recliner and enjoy the day.

            Did you support the first timers at the Relay for Life? One of the new teams were members of Bishop O'Sullivan Council of the Knights of Columbus, and some people from St. Patrick's Church in Apalachicola. The team, I'm happy to say, raised $1,500 for the relay. We plan to be there next year, and maybe have extra fundraisers before the relay. Thank you for your support.

            Got the Big Bend Saltwater Classic this weekend. Hope the weather is good and there's a big crowd.

            The speed limit in our village is 15 miles per hour, not the other way around. You need to watch for people taking their walks, the kids and the pets. The speed limit is for everyone, especially red Beetle convertibles!

            Be kind to one another and check in on the sick and housebound.
