Vehicle nabbed transporting drugs into county
On May 28, members of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit along with investigators from Florida Department of Corrections, and K-9 Unit from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office intercepted a vehicle.
The car, a blue 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, was driven by a white female identified as Leslie A. Coady, 49, from the St. Petersburg area, and it was believed to be transporting illegal controlled substances.
Coady had driven to the area of the Moorings Motel, in Carrabelle, and was in the process of checking in when the Sheriff's Office's K-9 alerted on the vehicle driven by the suspect.
Coady was placed under arrest for three counts of possession of a controlled substance. The substances recovered had been concealed in the trunk area of the vehicle and included powder cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin.
She was booked at the county jail and a $15,000 bail was set.
