Carrabelle Promotes Kincaid to Sergeant

Carrabelle police officer Craig Kincaid has been promoted to the rank of sergeant. City Manager John McInnis pinned sergeant's stripes to Kincaid's uniform at the at the Carrabelle city commission meeting on March 6 .

Kincaid thanked McInnis, the city commission and the people of Carrabelle saying, "Thank you folks. I've been a police officer for 30 years in two states and worked with seven mayors and seven police chiefs. I think I'm getting the hang of the job." Kincaid retired from the Blue Island, IL police force in 2004, before moving to Carrabelle and joining the police force in Sept. 2006. Lois Swoboda/The Times
