Dinelle Pettitt, Brent Caldwell marry on beach
On Saturday, July 10 at 7 p.m., at 8th Street, Dinelle Pettitt crossed the dune walkover to meet her groom, Brent Caldwell, on the St. George Island beach for a beautiful wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was conducted by Pastor R. Michael Whaley, of First Baptist Church, St George Island. The couple exchanged vows and rings and each poured sand from the beach into one container to signify the joining of their lives. The sound of the waves and gulls were the accompanying music.
The bride is the daughter of Ernest and Stefanie Guernsey, of Tampa, and Richard and Laura Pettitt, of Oracle, Ariz.
Maternal grandparents are Ruth Guernsey, of St. George Island, and the late Lee Guernsey; and the late Lonnie and Cecelia Pettitt.
The groom is the son of Dawn Caldwell and the late Tim Caldwell.
Annette Karlsberg, sister of the bride, and Brieanna Caldwell, sister of the groom, were witness for the couple. Their immediate families shared the special occasion. The reception was held at the honeymoon site, while the wedding dinner was held at the Blue Parrot.
The Caldwells now reside in Southbridge, Mass., where the groom is football coach at Nichlos College in nearby Dudley.
