Library Happenings
Friends of the Franklin County Public Library will hold their monthly meeting Wednesday, May 14, at 5:30 p.m. at the Eastpoint branch. The library building project will be discussed and updates given.
The library advisory board will hold their monthly meeting, Monday, May 19, at 5:30 p.m. at the Eastpoint branch. The public is welcome to attend.
The Franklin County Public Library Building Project currently underway is awaiting the delivery of the prefabricated metal building in late May. The building site is in the process of being cleared and is located off of North Bayshore Drive in Eastpoint.
The 5,000-square foot building is being funded by donations from patrons and community organizations. The library building fund is an ongoing project and donations are always welcome.
To learn more about the building project and its progress you can attend the Friends annual membership meeting Monday, June 2.. Details of the meeting will be forthcoming.
The Carrabelle Monthly Book Social will be held on Thursday, May 8, at 5:30 p.m. Please call the Carrabelle branch for more details, 697-2166.
