Legion Post 82 Offers Thanksgiving in August

Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82 has a unique culinary treat in store for Carrabelle/Lanark area residents this Saturday. Aug. 9.
A "Thanksgiving In August" meal is being prepared and will be topped off with a slice of Merle's famous coconut creme pie.
In addition to roast turkey and dressing, there will be mashed potatoes and giblet gravy, green bean casserole, hot rolls, cranberry sauce and sweet potato soufflé. All for a suggested donation of $9. Serving at the post will begin at 5 p.m. and last until all are served or food runs out.
The more traditional made-to-order hamburger and fries will be served up Friday evening, starting at 5 p.m., for a suggested donation of $5.
