14 Drug Suspects Rounded Up

A countywide roundup of drug suspects last week netted 14 arrests, as the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, along with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, participated in "Operation Byrne Drugs," an intensive nationwide enforcement effort where state and local law enforcement officials together use resources to crack down on illegal drugs.

On the early morning hours of March 5, 14 drug related arrests were made around Franklin County.

Those arrested during the operation round-up included Jamie L. Lamberson, 38, Eastpoint, arrested for two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance; Anthony P. Dever, 28, Eastpoint, arrested for possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis and violation of probation; and Robert S. Wilhoit, 23, Carrabelle, Jason P. James, 27, Eastpoint, and Kayla D. Thompson, 23, Eastpoint, each arrested for sale of a controlled substance - cannabis.

Also arrested were Jessica N. Burch, 24, Eastpoint, arrested for sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a municipal park; James T. Downing, 38, Old Town, and Ruby L. Higgins, 27, Eastpoint, each arrested for sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church; and Teresa L. Smith, 29, Eastpoint, arrested for two counts sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church.

Also arrested during the round-up were Angela Z. Hill, 22, Eastpoint, and Jasmen N. Yon, 19, Eastpoint, each arrested for sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a convenience store; Leon W. Irvin, 43, Eastpoint, arrested for two counts sale of a controlled substance - cannabis; Amanda S. Richburg, 25, Carrabelle, arrested for sale of a controlled substance; and Krista R. Whiddon, 20, Carrabelle, arrested for violation of probation, as was Jasmen Yon.

"Ridding illegal drugs and their destructive effects from our community is a top priority for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and hopefully this bust will send the message that the sheriff's office has a zero-tolerance policy for drug activity," said Sheriff Mike Mock.

For a REAL roundup, the sheriffs office should clean up its own. Get the corrupt drug dealers out of there and you would cut the force by fifty percent. JT Privacy-Center dot net
