Volunteers are wanted and needed at the Franklin County Humane Society Adoption Center. Individuals, families and groups of young people frequently come to the shelter to work and enjoy spending time with the homeless pets.
Children can benefit from time spent at the shelter. As an educational experience, it teaches them about the importance of spaying and neutering as well as good health care and humane treatment of animals. It is also a special treat for the animals to receive undivided attention from volunteers.
If you or a small group of yours would like to volunteer at the shelter, please call 670-8417 to discuss getting involved.
