As Franklin Countyís representative on the board of the Area Agency on Aging, I was on the senior citizens board. We had at that time 18 board members, and 200 faithful volunteers. Volunteer Appreciation Day took three hours including lunch. The late Vic Imbierowicz and I sold many meal tickets and t-shirts to raise money for our new building. We now enjoy.
There is no federal money in that building. It was put up by donations, donated labor and materials.
Glad to see that Mary Westberg is back in Carrabelle. She is recovering at Harbor Breeze.

Your sugar fix will be ready any time between 9 and 11 a.m. Members of the Lanark Village Boat Club will prepare and serve the monthly pancake breakfast. Hope you can make it over. Your donation of $5 will be collected at the door.
The September Birthday Bash at Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82 will be Saturday evening, Sept. 20. Party starts at 6 p.m. Be watching for you to come in the door. Music by the Songbird Evelyn Mcannally, Ann Merel and others. So come enjoy the evening.
Members of the Ladies Guild will meet Monday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. in the parish Hall of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Father Eddie will be there. The gavel will fall at 1 p.m. All ladies from the parish are urged to attend. Starting with the Oct. meeting, Wed. Oct. 30 the meetings will be on a regular schedule.
Be kind to one another, check in on the sick and the housebound and remember this is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.
