Ferris Cleveland "Doc" Hathcock, 78, of Clanton, Alabama, died Sunday, May 5, 2013.



He was born on Saturday, Jan. 26, 1935 in Florida, son of the late James Stafford Hathcock and the late Mary Lucille Howell Hathcock.



He was a laboratory technician.



Surviving are son, Ricky Hathcock of Apalachicola; daughter, Rhonda (Danny) Rhodes of Clanton, Ala.; grandchildren, Rick Hathcock II, Christian Shane Hathcock, Brandi Holtzapfel, Shane Mallon, Anna Marie Messer; and great-grandchildren, Jayden Ford, Dane Mallon, Kaia Hathcock, MaKenna Hathcock and Colson Cash.



He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Idell Hathcock.



Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, May 9 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Apalachicola.



Services will be held Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Roger Latosynski officiating.



Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Apalachicola. Martin Funeral Home directing.
