The weather put a damper on our picnic and Pine Cone Kick-off, but not to worry. We are planning to hold it Sunday, April 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. Bring a dish to share and the association will provide hot dogs and hamburgers. Hope you can make it.

We will have our last Wednesday night bingo of the season on April 24. Join us at Chillas Hall when the doors open at 6 p.m. I will start calling at 6:30 p.m. Cookies, soft drinks and coffee are available.  Hope to see you there!

Along with the bingo, we also have door prizes, 50/50 drawing and pie raffle. Be watching for you!

Members of the Lanark Village Boat Club will cook you breakfast Saturday, April 20. Selling begins at 9 a.m. and goes ‘till 11 a.m. A good full breakfast and still only $5. Come and enjoy with your friends and neighbor!

Then it’s off to Camp Gordon Johnston American Legion Post 82 for the April Birthday Bash.

The Songbird Evelyn Macannally and Merell and others will have the music for us. We will have finger food also. Party starts at 6 p.m.; fun starts when you walk into the room.

What a beautiful service for a beautiful lady. The funeral mass for Mercedes Henderson was held Friday, April 5 at Sacred Heart Church. Pray for Mercy’s eternal peace and for Jack and their family.

Saturday, April 27 is another big day. Members of the Lanark Village Golf Club will have a yard sale on our golf course from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Many items to look over.  Coffee and water available. Stop by and look around. There’s got to be something you simply can’t live without.

Be kind to one another; check in on the sick and housebound, and keep smiling. You may not feel any better but everyone else will wonder what you’re up to.

Until next time, God bless America, our troops, and the poor, homeless and hungry and smile. Jesus loves you.
